MANY CLIENTS HAVE RELAPSED AND DIED OR ARRESTED FOR TRAFFICKING DRUGS OUT HIS HOUSES . IF YOU DO NOT BELIEVE IT , TRY LIVING IN ONE OF HIS HOUSES.

POLICE ARE CONSTANTLY AT HIS HOUSES ARRESTING PEOPLE. Not sure who owns these sober homes but they are anything but nice places to live. When you go to take a shower you need to keep all your valuables with you or they wont be yours any longer. My roommate was so banged up every night it was a relief when he finally passed out.

I would stay away from any houses Steps 2 Solutions is involved with. I am a resident that lives in the same complex as Peter’s program. This program is a joke, it gives those who are really in “recovery” a bad name. Why is it that adults don’t understand how rude it is to slam the door at all hours of the night or that vulgar language shouldn’t be used in the presence of children. It is also embarassing to have company over your home and your company hears a program resident outside yelling on their cell phone about their personal information.

Dave Decourcey has been the live in manager at the men’s home since March of 2018. He is a MASH certified house manager and certified recovery coach (LADC I). Dave is currently a senior recovery coach at Suffolk Superior drug courts.

Dave is approachable and encouraging, leading by example and encouraging guests to be active in the well-being of the home and in their day to day recovery. Kathy Curley has managed the women’s home since January of 2018. Since getting sober, Kathy has been able to get her GED and go on to UMass, Boston, to become a licensed alcohol and drug counselor. Kathy completed her college courses and passed her exam in April of this 2019 and is now a LADC, II, as well as being a certified recovery coach. Last year Kathy left her position as ATR coordinator for the Gavin Foundation to become a Senior Recovery Coach for the North Suffolk Mental Health Association.

They mean well but do not do enough due diligence when letting potential residents in. None of knows who will actually stay sober but with this place as long as you have some dough your good to go as the saying goes. They should reject half the applicants as anyone can tell they have no desire to be sober just need a place to crash. Stop looking for the almighty dollar once in awhile and look for some recovery before admitting some of these jerks. Each guest can expect a clean bed, sufficient clothing storage, HDTV w/ cable and free wifi in every room inside a clean, well maintained home cared for by the guests who stay there! Our homes are smoke free but there are plenty of designated outdoor smoking areas.

I work in this field and these residents need treatment which I don’t see happening here. Behaviors need to change in order for one to get better and in order for this to happen good management needs to be present. Peter McCarthy relapesed in 2009 , and he has not been clean for 15 years .

Kathy believes that God carried her through her darkest moments. She believes that He works through people and He has placed each person in her path over the past 6 and ½ years for a reason which is why she is still sober. Due to her own personal experience, Kathy has the ability to work with kindness and understanding with the most broken women and believes it is her life’s purpose. Kathy maintains her sobriety by going to meetings as a member of a 12-step program, Alcoholics Anonymous, having a home group and a sponsor, daily prayer and helping others. Kathy embraces people with grace, compassion, encouragement and hope, and guides them on their path to recovery.

I was a resident at the women’s sober home for a couple of months. The woman who runs it has stolen from residents including myself ( I have filed a police report) and also many residents believe is using drugs herself. She allows certain women to use drugs on the premises as well. Because she is a narcissist and classic addict, she talks a great game but please beware, because by entering that house you expose yourself and loved ones to mental abuse and endanger your sobriety.
